Sureguard Safety Australia work directly with BSI to conduct product certification ensuring quality management is up to standard, products meet compliance, and manufacturing stays well within quality expectations. All certification certificates are issued by BSI Benchmark.

ANSI Standard approval for Clearview Safety helmet

The Clearview Helmet range is certified by BSI to ANSI/ISEA Z89.1:2014 American National Standard for Industrial Head Protection. The standard sets out the requirements for industrial head protection in the United States. The standard applies to protective helmets that are designed to provide protection against impact, penetration, and electrical hazards in occupational settings.

ANSI/ISEA Z89.1:2014 certification includes the following:

  • Flammability test specified within ANSI/ISEA Z89.1:2014 standard.
  • Force transmission test specified within ANSI/ISEA Z89.1:2014 standard.
  • Apex penetration test specified within ANSI/ISEA Z89.1:2014 standard.
  • Electrical Insulation test to Class G, Class E or Class C specified within ANSI/ISEA Z89.1:2014 standard.
  • Impact energy attenuation test, Type I or Type II as specified within ANSI/ISEA Z89.1:2014 standard.

Australian & New Zealand Standard approval for Tuffgard, Clearview and Broadbrim helmet range

The Tuffgard, Clearview and Broadbrim Helmet range is certified by BSI to AS/NZS 1801:1997 Occupational Protective Helmets. AS/NZS 1801:1997 is a joint Australian and New Zealand standard that sets out the requirements for occupational protective helmets. The standard applies to protective helmets that are designed to provide protection against impact and penetration hazards in occupational settings.

AS/NZS 1801:1997 certification includes the following:

  • Electrical resistance test specified within AS/NZS 1801:1997 standard.
  • Stiffness test specified within AS/NZS 1801:1997 standard.
  • Shock Absorption test specified within AS/NZS 1801:1997 standard.
  • Resistance to Penetration test specified within AS/NZS 1801:1997 standard.
  • Thermal Performance test as specified within AS/NZS 1801:1997 standard.
